An award-winning journalist and Madison native, Katie Dean joined In Business Madison in 2024 as editor-in-chief, overseeing the publication’s editorial coverage. Previously, she worked at The Capital Times for 16 years in a variety of reporting and editing roles, including executive editor. Prior to that, she lived in San Francisco for 10 years, writing about education, technology, and the entertainment industry for Wired.com.
