The Healthcare Summit is In Business Madison’s premier gathering of healthcare executives, providers, innovators, and community leaders focused on the future of healthcare in Wisconsin’s Capital Region. Each year, the event features timely discussions with industry experts on the trends, technologies, and challenges impacting healthcare organizations, patients, and providers.

In 2026, Healthcare Summit will include two panels.

AI & healthcare: How AI is being applied in the healthcare field now and what’s coming? This panel of experts will dig into how AI is being used by hospitals and individual clinicians, and share lessons learned and best practices. They will also discuss critical safeguards at a time when critics have raised many concerns about the rapidly evolving technology. Panel includes leaders from Forward Health Group, UW Health, GHC, and Epic.

Madison’s healthcare startup ecosystem: Panelists will take the temperature of Madison’s burgeoning healthcare space and delve into what’s working and what needs work. Expect a lively discussion on emerging trends and promising developments in healthcare startups, and a look at Madison’s advantages compared to other cities — and its challenges. Panel includes leaders from Wisconsin Technology Council, Forward BioLabs, Abingdon Health/FAR Biotech, and HealthX Ventures.

As part of the summit, the Healthcare Heroes awards recognize individuals and organizations whose dedication, leadership, and service have made a difference in healthcare delivery and community well-being.
