What are the most challenging and rewarding aspects of your job and why?

One of the most challenging aspects of my role is owning a pharmacy without being a pharmacist. While I have extensive knowledge in functional health and compounding, I rely on my team of pharmacists to handle prescription dispensing. Managing a pharmacy from a business and clinical perspective requires trust in my team and continuous learning to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of pharmacy regulations and patient care.

The most rewarding part is seeing the direct impact on women’s health. Helping patients feel better, regain balance, and take control of their well-being is incredibly fulfilling. When someone tells me how much our care has changed their life, it reinforces my passion for what we do.

Who do you look up to or admire in business and why?

I admire Easton Bryant for his innovative approach to independent pharmacy and his ability to turn challenges into opportunities. As a successful pharmacy owner and founder of The Rx Grid, he has demonstrated how independent pharmacies can thrive by embracing creative business strategies and maximizing their potential. His expertise in marketing, leadership, and operational efficiency has helped many pharmacy owners, including myself, think beyond traditional models.

What has been the high point of your career so far?

One of the most defining moments of my career was continuing my family’s legacy by purchasing the pharmacy in 2022. My family opened the pharmacy in the late 1980s, and while I pursued a degree in accounting, I eventually found my way back to the business in a way I never expected. Taking ownership allowed me to build on what my parents started while shaping it into something of my own. It’s been incredibly fulfilling to honor their work while expanding the pharmacy’s role in functional health and personalized medicine.

Having been born and raised in Dane County, I most love its unique balance of size and community. It’s a diverse and dynamic place, offering something for everyone — from bustling city life to quiet natural escapes. While the county is large and ever-growing, it still feels small in the best way. You can go [almost] anywhere and run into someone you know, creating a sense of connection that makes it feel like home.
