- 2009 and 2010: Barron’s Top 1000 Financial Advisors
- 2010: Edgewood College MBA Distinguished Alumnus
- 2011: Business Forum Athena Award
- 2015: Became RBC Wealth Management Madison office branch director
- 2017: RBC Wealth Management national diversity award
- 2018: RBC Wealth Management national Gail Winslow Award
- 2020: Forbes/Shook Best-in-State Wealth Advisor
- Since 2003: An RBC Wealth Management president’s or chairman’s council top producer
What accomplishments, milestones, or endeavors have you attained in your personal life since your 40 Under 40 selection?
I’ve enjoyed many rounds of golf, scuba diving trips, and alpine ski trips around the world. In 2020, I will celebrate my 30th year on the Devil’s Head Ski Patrol. I have been the treasurer of the Devil’s Head ski patrol for 15 years. Other board seats have included president of the LPGA Amateurs Madison Chapter and the Board of Trustees of Edgewood College.
If you were to “do it all over again,” what (if anything) would you do differently throughout your career?
Nothing! I have been very fortunate with the choices I have made. The different jobs I have had have given me experiences that all added to my value. There has been some luck mixed in with a lot of hard work!
How did your 40 Under 40 selection help your career?
The exposure was certainly good for my business and name recognition. In Business does such a great job connecting people and promoting Madison networking.
What is something that you have a new passion for since the time of your induction — either professionally or personally?
Mentoring other women in management and women in the wealth planning and investment management business. Also, continually striving to find work-life balance!
Based on your experience, do you have any advice for today’s young professionals (under 40)?
Never stop learning. Step out of your comfort zone and always seek out different perspectives to challenge conventional approaches because diversity and inclusion leads to innovation and growth.
