What are the most challenging and rewarding aspects of your job and why?

I love building relationships, finding out what is important to people, and learning how I can help those needs get met. I wish that all of my time could be spent doing just that. In order to truly take care of people, there is a lot of time that goes into things behind the scenes to ensure that what I undercover as a need gets met! It is truly an honor to do so.

Who do you look up to or admire in business and why?

Lynette Roscoe, shelter services director, The Salvation Army of Dane County: She works hard and loves much. She treats each person that she interacts with in a way that they feel taken care of. She sacrifices much for her clients and will do whatever she can to help them. She works hard to make this world a better place to live in.

These women inspire me to work hard and to love others more than myself.

What has been the high point of your career so far?

Being able to serve and help others in the full-time ministry, and also planning a 18,000-person citywide event.

Thinking back on your career, what advice would you give your 21-year-old self?

Make sure that you take time to think about what is really important to you and live your life in such a way that shows those values. If you are true to what is genuinely important to you and in line with your core values, it does not matter what others think of you.

What would you say are the best things about living and working in Dane County?

I work for an awesome company, with and for people I admire, and I have been blessed with amazing relationships in the community. I am inspired by the many people in Dane County that are committed to helping others and making this world a better place to live. It is really a beautiful city.

Do you have any secret talents or abilities that people would be surprised to discover?

I am not sure if it is a secret but my relationship with God is what is most important to me and I love being able to help others get to know Him.

What are your guilty pleasures?

I guess you could say I love a good meal and have quite the sweet tooth! That is another reason why Dane County is a great place to live and work!
