The city of Madison broke ground on the Imagination Center at Reindahl Park, a new library and community facility coming to Madison’s east side, WKOW reports. The project represents Madison Public Library’s first new library facility in over 25 years.

The new building will offer a multifunctional, indoor-outdoor library and community space. It’s the first library to be located within a Madison park. The Imagination Center will offer public computers and free Wi-Fi to visitors, who will be able to access online resources for health, wellness, school, work and more.

The project is set to be completed in summer 2026.
