In a unanimous vote, the Dane County Board has expanded its anti-discrimination ordinance to include prohibiting discrimination based on hairstyles in county workplaces and organizations using county services, according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal. The ordinance was introduced by Sup. Shelia Stubbs, 23rd District, because she said Black people are often judged because of their hair and the ordinance makes it clear that’s never acceptable.
