1. What are the most challenging and rewarding aspects of your job and why?
The challenging and rewarding aspects on my job have many similarities. The landscape of banking continues to evolve and shape not only how banks conduct business but the client experience. This evolution creates the challenge of learning something new with the reward of being able to deliver these product solutions to our clients. Some of the aspects we have been able to provide include solutions that assist with efficient cash forecasting, creating a seamless client experience with personable service delivery that allows clients to focus their energy on their business. Many of these also help enhance our customer’s ability to deliver products to their clients, within a secure electronic banking environment.
2. Who do you look up to or admire in business and why?
It’s definitely been a combination of people. I’ve been extremely fortunate to be mentored by some incredibly knowledgeable and experienced individuals. We’re all shaped by experiences and our experiences give us opportunities to grow and learn. I’ve been able to take something from each experience that I’ve had and apply it forward.
3. What has been the high point of your career so far?
One of the accomplishments that I’m extremely proud of is joining Settlers bank to get the treasury management department established. It’s been gratifying to see my efforts directly contribute to the strength and growth of the bank. It’s also been humbling to build personable, lasting client relationships. The future is a path of endless possibilities and opportunities and that’s exciting to think about.
4. Thinking back on your career, what advice would you give your 21-year-old self?
Focus on your strengths and play off those strengths. Identify your weaknesses but don’t give them energy. Strengths are what allow you to do great things and have success.

5. What would you say are the best things about living and working in Dane County?
The best thing about living and working in Dane County undoubtedly is Madison! Madison has such an electrifying energy. There is never a shortage of things to experience and you don’t have to look very far to see how beautiful it truly is. Grab a kayak or paddleboard, hop on a bike, enjoy the local produce and offerings at the farmers market, or throw down a blanket on the grounds of the Capitol to enjoy Concerts on the Square. There is always something to enjoy or new to experience!
6. Do you have any secret talents or abilities that people would be surprised to discover?
Secret talents or abilities … I would love to say I’m an amazing cook but that just wouldn’t be true. What I can say is that I’m definitely a foodie. My family and I love trying new restaurants in the area. We try to visit restaurants that have been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives when vacationing.
7. What are your guilty pleasures?
Being a yogi! After a long, stressful day, I love to decompress with yoga.
