The Stoughton City Council amended some city zoning on Tuesday to accommodate a pair of multifamily residential developments, according to the Stoughton Courier Hub. The board gave unanimous approval for a conditional use request for 2605 Cromwell Court that will allow multiple principal buildings on a lot and over 12 residential units per building.
Two of the seven Plan Commission members voted against the conditional use request last month. The application from Forward Development Group to the city noted the considerable market need that the new buildings would satisfy. After consulting with area residents, the company included in the plans a sidewalk connection through the nearby Tru Hilton site, allowing people to walk through to access commercial areas.
