YWCA opens registration for Racial Justice Summit

Registration is now open for the 2025 YWCA Madison Racial Justice Summit, Madison365 reports. The 23rd annual event will be held Sept. 25-26.

Nonprofit YWCA provides services, empowerment programming and advocacy for marginalized individuals and families, particularly women and girls of color.

Themed “Get Together: Becoming the Liberation Ecosystem,” this year’s event will feature keynote speakers Robin Wall Kimmerer, a scientist, storyteller and author; Ruth Wilson Gilmore, an abolition advocate who speaks on the impacts of racial capitalism and building life-affirming institutions; Maurice Mitchell, the national director of the Working Families Party; and Adaku Utah, senior manager of movement building programs at the Building Movement Project.

Registration is open through Aug. 29.
