The Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras (WYSO) is proposing a music center design of glass and curving roofs inspired by the contours of a cello, according to a report from The Capital Times. The $29 million music center is planned at the site of the now-closed Avenue Club at 1128 E. Washington Ave. WYSO has refined an earlier design for the three-story, 40,085-square-foot structure featuring 60% glass glazing on the front facade. The plans call for the building to have multiple curved roofs and other features inspired by both its function as a music education facility and the design and beauty of musical instruments.
