Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras (WYSO) on Wednesday announced that it has raised over $2 million in three months for its Grand Finale Campaign, completing a $1 million matching gift challenge made possible by Diane Ballweg, owner of Endres Manufacturing.
The campaign, launched in January, intends to raise $5 million, the remaining amount needed to fully cover the construction of WYSO’s new, permanent home. In total, WYSO has raised over $28 million toward a goal of $33 million to complete the WYSO Center for Music.
WYSO had raised over $28 million when the new WYSO Center for Music opened in spring of 2024 at the corner of East Washington Avenue and Ingersoll Street in Madison. The facility offers rehearsal and performance spaces, teaching studios and gathering areas designed specifically for youth ensembles and music education programs.
The facility is also available to the community for event rentals, including meetings, performances, and special events.
