The Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corp. (WWBIC) announced in a press release that Wendy K. Baumann will step down as the organization’s president on Feb. 14, 2025 and the search for a new president/chief visionary officer (CVO) is underway. Baumann served as WWBIC’s president for 31 years.
Under Baumann’s leadership, WWBIC has grown to become a diverse team of 60 professionals with six regional offices and a Veterans Business Outreach Center that serves clients in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota. The organization has a $9 million operating budget and a $25 million loan portfolio, and has served almost 80,000 individuals since its inception while serving almost 5,500 unduplicated clients annually.
A national search is being conducted to recruit WWBIC’s next leader with Baumann, the organization’s three continuing vice presidents, and other key supporters.
