Monona-based WPS Health Insurance will end its Medicare Part D drug coverage to concentrate on Medicare Supplement Insurance plans, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport. The change will require 11,000 enrollees in the state to find other coverage. The prescription drug plan has been offered as a Medicare option by the company since 2006. The company’s focus on Medicare Supplement plans — filling the gaps in coverage of traditional Medicare insurance — will include expansion to more states.
