All WPS Health Insurance employees in Wausau could lose their jobs next year when a government contract expires, according to a report in the Wausau Daily Herald.
The report said company officials informed the workers this week, but declined to say how many total employees the company has or how many people face job losses. As of last year, WPS had 500 employees in Wausau.
WPS offices in Wausau and Madison handle claims for TriWest Healthcare Alliance of Phoenix, a private company that administers TRICARE, a health care program for uniformed members of the military.
