Wisconsin Physicians Service cut 20 IT employees in a move the company blamed on a competitive business environment. In November, WPS announced it would hire 30 people here because of a health care program it landed with the U.S. Veterans Administration. Historically, the company’s payroll tends to ebb and flow depending on the contracts it signs.
