The World Championship Cheese Contest returned to Monona Terrace this week after the event was canceled in 2021, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport. The event drew nearly 3,000 entries across 141 classes, featured cheeses from 29 countries, and utilized judges from 16 countries. Wisconsin cheeses accounted for 932 entries, of which nine won first place finishes and there were sweeps of the top three spots in seven of the 69 categories judged on Tuesday. The event will wrap up today with the naming of a World Champion cheese.
