World champion teen hoop dancer Nedallas Hammill will showcase his skills at the Wisconsin Masonic Center in downtown Madison April 5–7, according to the Wisconsin State Journal. He will perform as part of Native Spirit, a family dance company that includes Hammill’s sister and parents as well as singer Palmer Lomakema.

Hammill became the world champion of hoop dance — a Native American style of dance in which the dancer performs with a set of hoops in different formations — at the age of 16. Last year, he moved out of the teen division and placed among the top 10 dancers at the 2023 adult World Champion Hoop Dance Competition.

The one-hour Madison performance will be family friendly and showcase dances interwoven with storytelling.
