The Department of Workforce Development has Wisconsin Fast Forward grants available to train workers.

These grants, awarded to businesses, reimburse costs for occupational training to unemployed, underemployed and existing workers.

About $1.5 million is available for grants that can range from $5,000 to $400,000. Grants cover training that would qualify a worker for a full-time position, a higher-level role or increased wages.

“The Fast Forward program is a strategic investment in the state’s workforce that fills in-demand positions for employers while offering workers the skills they need to succeed,” DWD Secretary Amy Pechacek said in a statement. “These grants strengthen Wisconsin’s workforce for the future, and we encourage employers to apply for funding to support their workforce.”
