Thanks to the good news of declining rates of workplace injuries, the state’s workers’ compensation rates are about to decrease, according to an article in the Wisconsin State Journal.

Wisconsin Insurance Commissioner Mark Afable has announced the annual rates would drop by 9 percent beginning in October, which translates to a $170 million reduction in annual payments for Wisconsin businesses.
