The city of Madison and the Urban League of Greater Madison held a groundbreaking of the Park Edge/Park Ridge Employment & Training Center, the city of Madison’s first neighborhood employment center, on Aug. 29.
The center is located in the former Griff’s Restaurant at 1233 McKenna Blvd., across from Elver Park. The center, which will provide jobs for teenagers, work readiness, and career academy programs, will open next spring.
Until then, the Urban League will continue offering employment and training programs from temporary space at 658 S. Gammon Road.
