Represented Collective will present Legendary: An Evening of Celebration to honor the innovation of women in STEM on Monday, July 11, from 5:15–7:30 p.m., at Goodman Community Center, 214 Waubesa St., Madison The event will include a panel of industry professionals and scholars leading discussions on representation, identity, and racial and gender biases in STEM. Panelists are:
- Ana Hooker, MBA, SVP and chief laboratory officer at Exact Sciences;
- Angela Jenkins, technology project manager at American Family Insurance;
- Ponmozhi Manickavalli Sathappan, IT manager at CUNA Mutual Group; and
- Jasmine Zapata, MD, MPH, and chief medical officer for community health at the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Division of Public Health, and physician and assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
The celebration also will honor Erika Bullock, Ph.D., and Maxine McKinney de Royston, Ph.D. for their work in STEM. Tickets are available online.
