Laura Ewing, the former finance and operations manager for the Wisconsin Coalition Against Sexual Assault in Madison, was indicted for stealing more than $50,000 in federal grant funds from the organization.
Ewing reportedly took funds the organization had received from the U.S. Department of Justice and wrote 34 checks payable to herself between January 2012 and May 2014.
If convicted, she faces up to 10 years in prison.
