Police were dispatched to Ho-Chunk Gaming Madison on New Year’s Day just after 2 p.m. after a woman who had won several thousand dollars at the casino was robbed on her way out, the Wisconsin State Journal reports.
The woman said she and her husband were walking to their car when a man approached them and asked for a ride; they declined. The stranger grabbed the woman’s bag, which contained her winnings, and ran off with it.
No arrests have yet been made; police are reviewing digital and other evidence, and the investigation is ongoing.
