While there won’t be any whiskey — yet — Wollersheim Winery is hosting an open house Friday and Saturday to showcase its new $4 million, 25,000 square-foot distillery that broke ground one year ago.
The new distillery is the winery’s most significant building project in more than two decades.
According to the company, the new brand of whiskey isn’t ready for customers quite yet, and its bourbon will require four to five more years to age properly.
Visitors can take a self-guided tour of the stillhouse, the tank hall, and grain fermentation areas.
