A recent poll conducted by Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce shows 47% of the state’s employers plan to hire between now and the end of the year. That’s a significant increase from November, when a similar survey showed only 24% of employers planned to hire. Fifty-four percent of respondents were more optimistic, expecting either moderate or good growth through the rest of 2013, and 53% expect moderate or good growth in the state economy, up from 41% last November. Of 1,200 members receiving the survey, 364 responded, 61% of which were manufacturing operations.
