In a letter to Gov. Tony Evers and Department of Health Services (DHS) Secretary Andrea Palm, Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) outlined the potential legal implications of releasing information about businesses with employees who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to a release from the organization.
The DHS had indicated plans to release this data either on its website or through open records requests. WMC claims disclosure of this information would violate several state and federal laws.
