The merger of the Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance (WISTAX) and Milwaukee-based Public Policy Forum has resulted in a new name for the combined organization: Wisconsin Policy Forum (WPF).
The merger has been approved and became official on Jan. 1.
In a release, Rob Henken, WPF’s first president, said the organization’s primary focus will be to conduct nonpartisan policy research on issues of statewide concern and be a “forum for thoughtful discussion about the public policy challenges facing Wisconsin’s governments and school districts.”
