WisDOT announces $50M for rural road improvements

Gov. Tony Evers and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation announced on Tuesday that nearly $50 million in grants were awarded through the first round of the Agricultural Roads Improvement Program. 

These funds will go toward 29 new projects across 28 counties.  

Projects include improving rural roads used by farmers and the forestry industry 

Wisconsin has improved more than 9,600 miles of roads and 2,400 bridges statewide since 2019.
