Wisconsin’s job creation ranking improves

According to employment numbers released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Wisconsin ranked 30th nationally in private-sector job creation during the 12-month period ending in March.

The Badger State reported a 1.72% increase (or 39,624 jobs) in private-sector jobs during that time, compared with the previous 12 months.

Despite the improvement, Wisconsin still lags the nation, which saw a 2.4%increase as a whole during the same 12-month period.

Wisconsin also ranked behind other Midwest states like Indiana (2.16%), Michigan (2.09%) and Minnesota (2.08%), but before Ohio (1.67%), Iowa (1.51%), and Illinois (1.36%) during the period ending in March
