North Carolina-founded Duck Donuts is set to open its first Wisconsin location at 3308 University Ave. by late July, according to the Wisconsin State Journal. The business, with 150 U.S. locations and several international shops, offers made-to-order donuts customized by each customer. It will open in a former AT&T store space.
Local owners Mark and Amanda Kienbaum have partnered with Dave Crain, who will run the shop’s day-to-day operations. Customers will be able to order donuts in the shop, with an estimated 5–10 minute wait time, or order ahead online. The shop will offer catering and use delivery services as well. It will also sell vanilla ice cream, ice cream donut sandwiches, donut sundaes, and donut-topped milkshakes.
