A recent Wisconsin Policy Forum report identified new consumer trends in Wisconsin similar to what’s happening nationally with decreasing use of cable television.

Across the state, revenue from cable television subscriptions dropped more than 1% in 2019 over the previous year, which amounted to a revenue reduction for cable providers of about $11 million. Online video streaming services such as Hulu, Netflix, and Disney Plus are most likely the reason for the decrease.
