Nonprofit broadcaster WisconsinEye could not raise enough funds for its 2026 operating budget to keep the cameras rolling, and will pause all operations on Monday.
The organization has provided televised access to legislative floor sessions, committee hearings and more for over 18 years.
In addition to no new coverage, more than 30,000 hours of archived coverage will be unavailable, the Wisconsin State Journal reports.
A visit to WisconsinEye’s website shows a popup reading, “WisconsinEye will stop event coverage and the video archive will go offline on December 15, 2025. Programming will resume when adequate funds are contributed to cover the network’s 2026 operational budget.”
