The Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras received a $2 million gift from local philanthropist W. Jerome Frautschi. The gift brings the not-for-profit organization’s total Grand Finale capital campaign to $32.3 million, with a goal of $33.5 million.
“Mr. Frautschi’s investment in WYSO represents more than financial support; it’s an investment in the future of music education and the countless young lives that will be transformed through our programs,” Diane Ballweg, campaign co-chair, said in a statement. “This gift brings us significantly closer to securing WYSO’s future and ensures that generations of young musicians will have access to exceptional musical training and performance opportunities.”
That future includes securing ownership of its new performance and rehearsal facility, the WYSO Center for Music.
