Wisconsin Youth Co., in partnership with Madison Out-of-School Time coalition and Wisconsin Out of School Time Alliance, announced the hiring of Jackie Scott as the state’s out-of-school time (OST) organizer. This newly-established role will elevate awareness and advocacy of OST programs throughout Wisconsin. OST programs support working families and businesses across the state. This position was made possible through the Community Impact Grant awarded by Madison Community Foundation.

Scott brings an extensive background in education and OST as a former middle school social studies teacher as well as creator of her own after-school program. Scott will travel across the state to meet with OST providers and collaborate with community organizations to advocate for public policies and public funding that supports children and families. She will lead grassroots statewide advocacy efforts.
