The Wisconsin Union will host its 84th Winter Carnival from Feb. 7–10, according to Madison Magazine. The event will feature a variety of winter activities, many of which are free to the public.
Ice skating and curling will kick off the festivities on Feb. 7. Other activities will include an ice fishing tournament on Feb. 8, an introduction to ice climbing on Feb. 9, a Feb. 10 viewing of the 39-foot iceboat TheMary B, built in Madison in 1945, and more.
