Traffic on Wisconsin roads has declined in all parts of the state, with the number of vehicles on Wisconsin’s highways dropping in recent weeks due to school and business closures, according to a report from the Wisconsin Policy Forum.

Across 61 locations where the state’s Department of Transportation (DOT) collects data on a continuous basis, traffic volumes have declined between 22 and 56 percent. All areas of the state have seen decreases but the extent to which traffic has declined on local streets is not yet fully known.
