Gov. Tony Evers announced the state will seek outside legal counsel to investigate and prepare for litigation against corporations responsible for PFAS contamination in Wisconsin.
Along with Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul, the Department of Administration will begin the selection process for an outside law firm to help evaluate and pursue litigation against companies responsible for contamination. The action comes after recommendations in the Wisconsin PFAS Action Council’s PFAS Action Plan was released in December 2020.Â
