According to the latest Paychex | IHS Small Business Jobs Index, Wisconsin ranked second among states in July for small business employment growth and tied with Tennessee for the largest one month gain. The state has ranked among the top five in five of the past six months.
The national index has seen little movement in recent months, essentially remaining flat from May to July.
