Rural Mutual Insurance gave the Wisconsin Rural Opportunities Foundation a $6,000 grant to increase its number of scholarships awarded to rural high school seniors from five to seven.
Rural Mutual Insurance agents raised funds to provide the two additional scholarships, which will be given next year.
“This is a cause our agents across Wisconsin wholeheartedly rallied behind,” Jenny Martin, Rural Mutual Insurance director of marketing, said in a statement. “Each year at our sales conference, funds are raised through raffle ticket sales, with proceeds donated to a different Wisconsin charity. The collective commitment and generosity of our agents resulted in the most successful fundraising effort we’ve ever achieved.”
Scholarship applications will open on Jan. 5, 2026.
