As the COVID-19 pandemic has caused America to put social distancing policies in place, closed businesses, and put millions out of work, there is a bit of good news.
Wisconsin holds the third-lowest increase (761.40 percent) in unemployment claims comparing March with January claims of this year, according to a WalletHub report.
The U.S. recorded a record $6.6 million in unemployment insurance claims for the week of March 23 but Wisconsin’s numbers have fared comparatively better than other states. Louisiana, North Carolina, and Indiana have the highest increase in claims in the country. Connecticut and Oregon are the only two states with lower increases for the same time period.
