Experts at web hosting provider Hostinger analyzed data from the U.S. Census Bureau on the number of citizens in each state who reported that they worked from home for at least one day in a seven-day period between Jan. 9 and Feb. 5; Wisconsin ranked 20th nationally based on the percentage of the working population in each state working remotely. Of the state’s working population of 4,563,459, the number of Wisconsinites working from home over the seven-day period includes:
- 422,117 who report working from home one–two days;
- 306,044 who report working from home three–four days; and
- 630,679 who report working from home five or more days.
Overall, 1,358,840 Wisconsinites reported working remotely over the seven-day period, or 29.78% of the total working population.
