A new study from bio convergence company CYTENA has revealed the states where women in STEM industries can earn the best wage. CYTENA utilized data on STEM wages and the gender pay gap in each state to indicate the states in which women in STEM industries are best paid.
Wisconsin was ranked the third-best-paying state on average. A middle-of-the-road ranking average pay gap of $11,200, combined with the second-highest average STEM wage of $139,000, puts Wisconsin’s $128,000 average estimated female STEM wage near the top. The state boasts a figure 18% above the nationwide average of $108,092.
