Wisconsin merchandise exports up slightly

Wisconsin merchandise exports increased 0.4% year to date through June, compared to the first six months of 2012, growing from $11.66 billion to $11.7 billion. This was a record high export level for the state, according to a release from the International Trade Administration.

Merchandise exports outpaced 2012 in destinations such as United Arab Emirates (+268%), Mexico (+19%), and China (+11%). Key merchandise exports include machinery, computer and electronic products, transportation equipment, food, and chemicals.
