The Wisconsin State Journal reports that Wisconsin’s Medicaid program will exceed its budget by $213 million.

Department of Health Services Secretary Kirsten Johnson told state Legislative leaders she expects a shortfall in state funding based on enrollment and spending.

Wisconsin’s state budget allocated $9.7 billion for the program, but December estimates put spending at about $9.9 billion.
