The conservative legal group Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty has filed a lawsuit against President Joe Biden’s administration for its prioritization of restaurants and bars owned by women and certain minorities, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. The program, a part of the Biden administration’s COVID-19 relief package, is processing fund requests from businesses owned by women, veterans, or socially and economically disadvantaged people for the first 21 days of the program. The lawsuit targets the priority period arguing that white men are being “pushed to the back of the line” for aid for their eateries. Biden has previously said that female-owned and minority-owned businesses have been disproportionately hurt by the COVID-19 economic crisis.
