Wisconsin has 5th lowest percentage of mortgage holders behind in payments

In a new report looking at which U.S. states had the most mortgage holders behind on their payments heading into 2022, only 3.6% of Wisconsin mortgage holders are behind in payments. Of all of the states in the U.S., Wisconsin had the fifth-lowest percentage of mortgage holders behind in payments. The share of U.S. mortgage holders who reported being behind on mortgage payments during the pandemic reached a peak of nearly 12% in December 2020.
