The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) announced today that the state has received nearly $1.5 million in federal funds to bolster career and technical education in public schools, according to WKOW.
The grant, totaling $1.475 million, will help furnish partnerships between schools and businesses or industries as well as ensure programming students receive sufficient preparation for the needs of the current labor market.
Wisconsin is one of 19 grantees awarded a combined $25 million from the Perkins Innovation and Modernization, Career Connected High Schools Grant Program. The three-year grant program was launched by the Biden-Harris administration last year.
