The Wisconsin Department of Revenue is predicting 620,000 jobs will be lost in the state in the first three quarters of 2020, with the majority of those being temporary, according to the Wisconsin Economic Report for May 2020.

It is estimated that one-third of those jobs will return during the recovery time and pre-COVID-19 employment levels will be reached by mid-2023. Additionally, DOR projects total personal income will recover by the second quarter of 2021.
