The Wisconsin Dells Visitor & Convention Bureau (WDVCB) has entered into a pre-development agreement with the Village of Lake Delton to buy land for a new administrative building. The 39,000-square-foot facility will be located at 131 Progressive Drive. WDVCB has contracted with ADCI of Lake Delton for architectural, interior, and engineering design services.
Construction of the new building is tentatively scheduled to start in fall of 2024, with the WDVCB staff expected to move in during summer of 2025. The organization will remain at its current location at 701 Superior St. until then. The WDVCB’s Visitor Information
The center will continue to operate at the current location, and while the new building will feature a visitor information area, a primary goal is to ensure that a long-term visitor information center location is secured in downtown Wisconsin Dells.
The Lake Delton building will be approximately 10,000 square feet larger than the current facility and will house administrative offices for WDVCB and Festivals & Events staff, event storage, training and meeting space for WDVCB business partners, and a mail distribution center.
The Wisconsin Dells hosts over 5 million visitors annually, with a total economic impact of nearly $2 billion to the area.
